Traveling Abroad? There’s an App for That
The State Department released a new iPhone App for U.S. travelers going abroad.
On Tuesday, the Department of State released a brand new iPhone app called “Smart Traveler” for U.S. travelers visiting other countries.
The application, which is compatible with Apple’s iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, provides users with the latest info on the nation they’re visiting, travel alerts and warnings, maps, safety and security information and much more.
In addition, travelers can also stay on top of their travel dates and upcoming trips with customized e-tineraries included in the app. Users will also have the option of enrolling in the agency’s free Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) through a link.
