Birdman Is Asked to Show His Receipts by the Court
It seems that Lil Wayne is starting to make up some ground against Birdman in their ongoing legal bout.
TMZ is reporting that a judge is forcing Baby to provide receipts for millions of dollars worth of previous transactions he made. Wayne previously asked to see Birdman’s financial records to see how he was able to burn through the $70 million they were supposed to split from a $100 million advance they received from Universal Records.
Birdman’s legal team has supposedly already turned over 20,000 pages of documents to Weezy’s lawyers. Wayne’s attorneys however claim that those documents are irrelevant and want full accountability of his spending.
The problem for Birdman now is that apparently Cash Money didn’t take very good records of his spending over the past few years. This had his lawyer unworried and remarking, “It is what it is.”
Well, that didn’t fly with the judge, who is still requiring Birdman to fork over those records within 30 days. Looks like Baby’s attorneys have their work cut out for them.
