As details of those involved in R&B singer R. Kelly’s alleged sex cult scandal unravel, so do testimonies of not only those involved, but their loved ones who have targeted accusations at Kelly as well.

After one of the reported hostages, 21-year-old Joycelyn Savage, denied her family’s claims on camera that she was being held against her will, her father, Timothy Savage, has now filmed his own response to her and the Chocolate Factory artist. And both of them are sticking to their word. 

In a video obtained by TMZ, Timothy immediately addresses Joycelyn’s first response to the press and her family. She directly spoke from an undisclosed location, refuting the claims that she was being held hostage, abused and recruited into an the alleged sex cult. However, she also refused to reveal her whereabouts.

“You know the reason why Ms. Joycelyn Savage didn’t tell you where he location at?” her father said in a responsive video. “She’s not allowed to tell you her location. Mr. R. Kelly, if you want to file a lawsuit, you should have filed it yesterday. I’m waiting on you. File a lawsuit. If that’s what you want to do, I’ll see you in court. File it! So everybody can see your dirty laundry.”

He then addressed his daughter directly, sending his love and prayers for what he still believes to be a Stockholm syndrome situation.

“And Joycelyn, I’m praying for you, baby,” he said. “I’m praying for you.”

It didn't take long for her to rebut her father in another video, though. This time, Joycelyn is filmed in an outside setting as she aims her message specifically to her dad. Calling his actions a “complete disaster,” she said that he’s doing no more than feeding into a sensationalized and false narrative from the media, pleading with him to put an end to it.

“Because right now I am fed up with everything you are doing,” she said. “You are embarrassing me and the whole entire family. I am happy where I’m at and the people that I’m around, and it’s getting out of hand — seriously.”

She then claims that he had knowledge of how she ended up with the 50-year-old all along, stating that “[he] knows what happened that night that [she] went to meet R. Kelly.” Joycelyn continues pleading with her father to end his crusade against Kelly before the video closes out.
