Antoine Fuqua Inks Overall TV Deal With MTV, Paramount

The deal comes after Fuqua served as executive producer on ‘Mayor of Kingstown.’

Antoine Fuqua has reportedly signed an overall television deal with Paramount and MTV Entertainment Studios.

According to Variety, the deal comes after Fuqua served as executive producer on the Paramount Plus series Mayor of Kingstown. The first season of the latter concluded in January with another on the way.

Fuqua and his Hill District Media will reportedly focus on developing original scripted and unscripted content under the new partnership. 101 Studios, also a producer of the Mayor of Kingstown, will also serve as a production partner on all projects.

Fuqua is also currently under a first-look film deal at Netflix.

In recent years, along with his work on Mayor of Kingstown, Fuqua served as an executive producer on The Resident and Shooter and will have the same role on the upcoming Amazon series The Terminal List and Shaka: King of the Zulu Nation.
