Beyoncé Throws Herself Into Mosh Pit At Jay-Z’s Concert In Throwback Clip
On Monday (March 30), a user on the social platform uploaded a memento from Jay-Z and Kanye West’s performance of “N***az In Paris” at Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend in 2012.
The clips open with Hov on stage who directs the production crew to turn the lights to the crowd. He then instructs the concert’s attendees to form a circle and leave a clearing in the middle. While they’re doing that, Beyoncé can be seen preparing to mosh with the crowdgoers in an enclosed area directly in front of the stage. “You’re doing well. Make your family proud,” Hov encourages the crowd.
“Hold the circle. Okay, hold it, hold it,” Hov instructs the crowd before he leads them all in countdown, starting from 10. “Again!” the Roc Nation shouts once the count hits zero, and Bey is happily drowned in the crowd, which erupts into a flurry of flailing limbs in the mosh pit as Hov and Ye launch into the song. Dressed in a black hoodie and forest green Hunter rain boots, Bey can be seen jumping around in the midst of the chaotic crowd with a huge grin on her face. For just a few brief seconds, her longtime bodyguard, Julius, can be seen trying to keep a close eye on her too.
“Beyoncé doing this at Jay-Z's concert will always be iconic,” the Twitter user captioned the clip.
Others couldn’t help but notice that the one person who probably didn’t have as much fun as the Queen Bey had to be the lead member of her loyal security detail.
“Poor Julius must have been having a heart attack,” one user joked..
“Even [though] she in a group of employees, he still right there,” another said.
