Family Feud? Paris Jackson Turns The Tables On Critics Who Slammed Her For Skipping Janet’s Billboard Awards Performance
While Paris Jackson outwardly praised her iconic aunt Janet Jackson's Billboard Music Awards performance on social media, some of her followers found the need to question her loyalty to her famous family as she was not present in the audience.
Not one to let any rumors about her slide by, the young scion took to social media to share her thoughts on the criticism.
Present in the audience were Janet's mother, Katherine Jackson, and sister, Reebie. However, Paris' absence had fans wondering why she would skip out on such a major moment.
The 20-year-old took to social media to address her critics, stressing that they need not worry about her and her family's private business.
"Dear social media followers, friends, stalkers, lovers and haters, and fellow moonwalkers: Please do not tell me/demand/try to control how I handle my relationship with the people in my life, specifically my family," she wrote on her Instagram Story. "As amazing and as s****y as things can be, it is no one's business but ours. I understand that some of you feel some sort of connection or need to be a part of our lives considering you watched us grow up. However, I am handling my situation exactly how my father did. And I am happy keeping it that way. I will always have love and respect for my family. ALWAYS."
Paris went on to reiterate that her family's drama is not unlike those other families experience.
