50 Cent, Boosie, Big Sean And More Are Preparing For The Coronavirus Epidemic
The U.S. has been gripped with panic amid growing concerns over COVID-19, commonly referred to as the novel coronavirus.
As the outbreak spreads in alarming numbers across the country, at least eight states have declared a state of emergency, according to CNN, in an attempt to combat and stop the viral outbreak.
On Monday (Mar. 9), the World Health Organization (WHO) issued that the coronavirus is reaching pandemic status. However, WHO nor Centers for Disease and Control (CDC) have officially labeled it as such. Nonetheless, communities across the U.S. and the globe have been taking safety precautions to thwart the outbreak. The music community has also struck hard amid the epidemic, as large-scale events and music concerts, nationally and internationally, are being cancelled or postponed to limit mass gatherings. This past Friday (Mar. 6) South By Southwest (SXSW) announced that it was cancelling the 2020 iteration of its film and musical fest due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus. Additionally, Ciara, Mariah Carey, and Khalid joined the growing list of celebrities holding off on concert shows amid the outbreak.
Thus, a number of artists have reacted to the coronavirus emergency and even shared what they are doing to keep themselves healthy until the virus is under control. See what safety precautions the music community is sharing in light of the epidemic below:
