Jay-Z and Kanye West Release New Tour Dates
Just a day after Jay-Z went on record with Angie Martinez to dispel rumors that he and Kanye West were beefing over creative differences and the logistics of their Watch the Throne tour, promoters for the concert series announced a newly revised schedule.
The tour, which was originally set to begin on Sept. 22 in Detroit, will now begin more than a full month later, on Oct. 29 in Atlanta. The tour also scaled down from 24 stops to only 17.
As previously reported, reps for the tour pulled the original schedule to add more dates in certain cities due to overwhelming demand.
In the surprise appearance on Martinez's Hot 97 radio show yesterday (Aug. 1), Jigga also gave more details as to why the dates were rearranged. "We tried to put it out in preorder and all the lines got jammed," said Jay. "We pushed it back to really route it and put other dates on there. We'll probably put four New York dates there instead."
As of now, there are no New York dates listed in the official schedule.
Presale tickets went on sale today. Tickets go on sale to the public Aug. 8 through Ticketmaster.com or LiveNation.com.
