Diddy Put His Number Online, And Now Twitter Is Blowing Up His Phone
It would probably be a dream come true for any hip-hop fan to get the opportunity to see their favorite artist in person, let alone even get the chance to speak with them face to face. If you ever held such fantasies, rap mogul Diddy just extended fans the opportunity of a lifetime: to hear directly from the mind of one of rap’s own legends.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (Oct. 2), the 49-year-old candidly said that he’s been thinking heavily about what his 50s will look like, and one thing he would like to see change is his relationship with his fans.

Against his better judgment, the Bad Boy Records honcho made the bold decision to give out his phone number to his 15 million followers. Despite holding some reservations, Diddy deemed it the best approach.“I want a deeper connection with my fans,” he said in the video clip posted to his Instagram. “So, I came up with this idea. I was gonna get a special number and I was going to be able to give to my fans and family, and everybody that’s down with the movements that I’m about.”
He went on to explain that he wants fans to hit him up directly with any questions they have, as well as send him their resumes and be on the lookout for exclusive parties.
In case it was too good to be true, fans didn’t waste time trying to hop on the hotline with Diddy. While some weren't convinced the number is real, others were cautiously excited at the prospect and couldn't wait to hear what words of wisdom Diddy may impart, whether it's business related or just about life in general.
“Idk what @Diddy is doing with this phone number situation, but I sure did text him and sent him my music,” one person tweeted.
“I don’t know what @Diddy ‘s marketing genius is up to with this phone number but I’m texting and taking notes,” another commented.

One fan wished Diddy all the luck in the world for the storm of replies about to flood his inbox.
