Jonathan Majors Sued by Ex-Girlfriend in New Civil Suit
Jonathan Majors is facing a new lawsuit from the same woman he was found guilty of assault and harassment against three months ago.
On Tuesday (March 19), his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, filed a civil suit in the Southern District of New York alleging abuse, as cited by The Hollywood Reporter.
In the suit, Jabbarri claimed Majors demonstrated a "pattern of pervasive domestic abuse that began in 2021 and extended through 2023."
“This is no surprise. Mr. Majors is preparing counterclaims against Ms. Jabbari," said Majors' attorney, Priya Chaudhry, in a statement on Tuesday.
The exes met in 2021 on the set of "Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania," and Jabbarri said he "attacked" her in 2022, "causing serious injuries to her body.”
The suit alleges that an incident occurred on Sept. 20, 2022, after a verbal fight when Majors “pushed Grace so hard that it bruised her backside,” “picked Grace up in the air and threw her against the hood of her car,” and “brought Grace back into their house and held his hands around her neck, stating that he wanted to kill her, and that he was going to kill her. Majors then started hitting Grace’s head against the marble floor while strangling her until she felt she could no longer breathe.”
Jabarri said she wanted to seek medical attention, but Majors persuaded her not to in a text, saying, “They will ask you questions, and as I don’t think you actually protect us, it could lead to an investigation even if you do lie and they suspect something.”
In December, Majors was found guilty of assault and harassment against Jabbarri. He was initially scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 6, but his legal team filed a motion that delayed the sentencing hearing until April 8.
He could face up to one year in prison.
