Drake Salutes Friend Who Returned 'Chappelle Show' DVD 15 Years Later
Drake finally has his beloved Chappelle Show DVD back in his possession.
The Certified Lover Boy artist, who is apparently a huge fan of comedian Dave Chappelle, took to his Instagram Story on Tuesday (Jan. 11) to share that his longtime homie Dalton “D10” Tennant returned his DVD box set of Chappelle’s Show after 15 years.
“I let D10 borrow this in like ‘07,” Drizzy wrote in a caption underneath a photo of the box, according to Complex. “Man sent me a text [saying] I can have it back now.”
D10 has been a part of the “Knife Talk” rapper’s camp for a while now, serving as his musical director for his live shows.
In other Drake and Chappelle news, in Nov. 2021, the artist posted a clip of Chappelle hilariously making comments about how the beef between Drake and Kanye West had been squashed.
“You have to admit to yourself [that] this s**t is impressive,” Chappelle said in a clip Drake posted. “I cannot believe I’m in a n***a’s house. A n***a from this city that did not grow up this way. Tonight, he brought some of the biggest stars on earth to his home. Kanye West is in his home.”
In early December 2021, Drake withdrew his two 2021 Grammy nominations, shortly after the nods were announced. The 35-year-old was nominated for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance.
