TikTok Stars The Island Boy’s Home Raided, Murder Suspect Arrested
TikTok stars the Island Boys had their Florida home raided which led to an arrest.
According to TMZ, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported that a SWAT team executed a search warrant on Monday (Feb. 7) at the rented property of Alex and Franky Venegas. While the Venegas brothers weren’t apprehended, law enforcement did arrest murder suspect Andrew James Thomas.
Thomas was booked for gun possession and violation of probation for a separate robbery case, TMZ notes.
He also was booked on a first-degree murder charge in a fatal drive-by shooting of a young girl in Palm Beach.
WBPF reports that 8-year-old, Ronziyah Atkins, was killed on Friday (Feb. 4) and that Thomas was identified as the suspect in the incident thanks to cooperating witnesses and the Violent Crimes Division and Gang Unit detectives.
According to the Island Boys manager, Dovi Bezner, Thomas is childhood friends with social media stars and reportedly showed up to their home “a few nights ago” to crash on their couch.
“We had no idea any of this was going on, really. We just knew him as a quiet kid and he would come and hang out and do his thing and go back to whatever he got going on but we had no clue about any of these allegations toward him. We just knew him as a good person, someone who grew up with the Island Boys,” Bezner said.
A GoFundMe has been created in memory of Atkins.
