T.I. Back in Federal Custody

Rapper in trouble over tour bus ride.

The ride from Forrest City, Arkansas to Atlanta, Georgia is a long one—about 375 miles to be exact—so naturally T.I. took a bus home upon his release from Forrest City Correctional Facility on Wednesday (August 31).

Unfortunately something about the lavish tour bus the superstar rapper was traveling in, has upset prison officials. Just a day after reporting to a halfway house in Atlanta, T.I. has been moved to a “different facility,” according to his attorney Steve Sadow.

The rapper was set free on Wednesday morning after serving 10 months of an 11-month sentence for parole violation in 2010. Tip was set to serve his final days in a halfway house, but CNN is reporting that the troublesome rapper is being held at the U.S Penitentiary in Atlanta as of Friday morning (September 2).

Tip’s lawyers believe the matter is a misunderstanding.

“There appears to be confusion surrounding the method of transportation,” Sadow said.

It is now unclear whether the rapper will be sent back to a different halfway house or spend the rest of his time in federal custody. T.I. will officially be a free man on September 29.
