Rapper Lil Tjay Recovering From Emergency Surgery After Being Shot
UPDATE: According to TMZ, Lil Tjay is out of surgery and seems to be doing well. However, the site reports he is not in the clear as of yet.

Rapper Lil Tjay, born Tione Jayden Merritt, has been shot in Edgewater, New Jersey.
According to TMZ, there were two shootings in the area, one at a Chipotle Restaurant and another at an Exxon Gas station. It’s unknown which location Lil Tjay was shot but two other individuals were injured.
Lil Tjay was reportedly shot after midnight on Wednesday (June 22) and the extent of his injuries are unclear. However, TMZ reports he is currently in emergency surgery.
Born and raised in the Bronx, the 21-year old is known for the songs "Calling My Phone,” "Not in the Mood” and, his most recent hit, "In My Head,” which has over 12 million views on YouTube. He also has 7 million followers on Instagram.
