Trina And Trick Daddy To Replace The Rickey Smiley Radio Show
Despite their highly-publicized fallout on the Love & Hip-Hop: Miami reunion earlier this year, it appears Trina and Trick Daddy have patched things up enough to get back together, but not like that. The joint album that the duo promised is still on hold, but Trina has officially confirmed that they will launch a new radio show.
The Jasmine Brand first reported that the Miami OGs will host a new morning radio show that will replace Rickey Smiley’s beloved morning show after nine years. Trina confirmed the news in an interview with the Miami Herald.
“We were talking about it for a while and the opportunity came about to us, so we just decided to say yeah,” the Diamond Princess said. “I’m just excited about it.”
As for the status of their relationship, Trina says her and Trick have moved past their TNT-fueled dispute.
“We had our little difficulties - our rough patch - but you go through that,” she shared, adding that she wants to see if their on-air chemistry will be enough to spur them to go back to the lab where they can keep that same energy and finish the TNT project.

“I want to see how the show brings us closer and then we’ll have that energy for the studio,” she concluded.
Regardless, their morning show is already highly-anticipated. Look out for Miami’s dynamic duo and their latest ventures when the show makes its debut in 2020.
