Joe Budden Apologizes for Offensive Instagram Post
Joe Budden caused a stir on Instagram over the weekend for posting a racially insensitive photo of a Sikh man in an airport security line with the caption, "Not on my watch homeboy!"
The post, which has been retweeted over a thousand times, sparked the ire of the Sikh community with many calling on Joe for an apology. One user, Jaskaran Dhanoa, asked Budden to “admit [his] fault and apologize.” The rapper replied, "@JaskaranDhanoa, I'm taking it off, I'll erase it cuz I like you, ok?! Great."
Other followers felt the Slaughterhouse rapper's apology was insincere, prompting a more direct mea culpa the next morning. "I apologize to all Sikhs and any1 i offended w my tasteless & stereotypical post yesterday, it was ignorant & in bad judgment. Never again," he tweeted. His next tweet read, "Hopefully ppl can find it in their hearts to forgive me, my God is a forgiving 1… today is a new day, here’s to moving forward!"
