SMH: Video Surfaces Of Safaree Being Robbed At Gunpoint
The unfortunate case of Brooklyn rapper Safaree’s armed robbery continues to take unexpected turns.
Following a report that one of his former close friends was exposed as one of the perpetrators and Atlanta artist T.I.’s blunt reality check amid the viral news, a video of the entire incident has now surfaced for all of the internet to see.
The video was obtained by none other than TMZ and shows the moments before, during and after the robbery. The “Hunnid” rapper appears to be parlaying beside a black SUV in the clip before the perps emerge from the other side of the garage sticking up a gun at him. One of the culprits grab Safaree while the other takes his friend, and the men begin their shakedown as they’re seen hunting through Safaree’s big, red, fur coat.
They eventually lie him and his friend out on the ground, guns still pointed at, and dash away with the loot. Previous reports held that they’d stolen around $183,000 worth of cash and jewelry from him as well.
The video ends with Safaree and his friend getting up off of the ground, where the perps forced them to lie during the robbery, and taking off running in the opposite direction that the robbers went.
Fortunately, the men didn’t remain at large for too long after the robbery either, after police caught up with both of them only hours after the holdup. We’re relieved to know Safaree made out of the incident physically unscathed as well.
