Madonna’s New Album to Feature Nas, Nicki Minaj, Chance the Rapper
Madonna is tapping into the hip hop world on her upcoming Rebel Heart release. Nick Minaj, Nas and Chance the Rapper are all featured on the pop icon’s new album, along with production from Diplo, Kanye West, DJ Dahi and Blood Diamond, Miss Info reports.
Minaj appears on the Diplo-produced “B***h I’m Madonna,” Chance the Rapper and Mike Tyson team with the Material Girl for “Iconic” and Nas joins her on “Veni Vedi Vici.”
The 19-track album was given the name Rebel Heart because it speaks to “two different sides” of Madge's personality. “In my mind, it was almost like I wanted to do a two-record set. So you get this chunk of songs, and that chunk of songs. That was my original goal,” Madonna told Billboard last December, after several songs leaked to the 'Net. “Then all the demos leaked and I can't really go down that road anymore, so I put out [the six songs] first and then, I think a few more songs are going to come out during the time of the Grammys.”
She recently apologized for promoting Rebel Heart with images of Nelson Mandela, Bob Marley and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., among others. The 56-year-old mother of four later explained that she wasn’t “comparing” herself to the famous freedom fighters by re-posting fanmade Photoshopped images of them in the likeness of her cover art.
