Young Thug Is the New Face of PUMA's Classics Campaign
Young Thug — sorry, "No My Name Is Jeffery" — is proving to be quite the fashion muse. Thanks to his famous gender-fluid style, the rapper has already secured endorsement deals with brands like Calvin Klein, and now the 25-year-old rapper can add a campaign for PUMA to his portfolio.
The athletic brand already has a star-studded cast of ambassadors, including Kylie Jenner and Rae Sremmurd, but Thugger definitely brings his own style and audience to the long-running Classics Campaign.
"You can never go wrong with classics and big ups to PUMA for keeping the sneaker legacy alive," says Thugger. "I pay my respects to the legends rockin' their tunes and their kicks. Like one legend says, in this great future, we can't forget the past."
To honor the blending of the classic and the contemporary, Puma tapped legendary New York City street photographer Jamel Shabazz to photograph Thug around Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, rocking different types of classic hip-hop track suits in a distinctly modern silhouette:
PUMA certainly knows how to pick 'em.
