Tory Lanez New Prison Life Starts with New Diet
Tory Lanez has officially started his 10-year prison term. The Canadian rapper was transferred to North Kern State Prison in Delano, Calif. this week.
According to TMZ, prison food will be among the rapper’s biggest adjustments. Breakfast consists of beef hash, hard-boiled eggs, hot cereal, milk and coffee. Lunch is often peanut butter crackers, sugar-free drinks, bologna and mustard on whole wheat bread or American cheese sandwiches.
Dinner in the prison reportedly features hot link sausages, veggies, coleslaw, red beans, rolls and canned fruit.
The 31-year-old was sentenced in August after he was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, in the foot in 2020. Lanez filed for appeal and applied for bond while appealing his sentence, but that motion was denied earlier this month.
In court, before his sentencing, Lanez apologized for his actions, saying, "If I could change it, I would, but I can’t."
"Everything I did that night, I take full responsibility. I truly am just trying to be a better person,"
However, in a post on Instagram days later, he backtracked, saying that he was taking responsibility only “for all verbal and intimate moments that I shared with the parties involved.... That’s it.”
“In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I’m being wrongfully convicted of,” he wrote. “I remain on the stance that I refuse to apologize for something that I did not do.”
Lanez said he would continue to fight “till I come out victorious.”
At a performance in August, Megan Thee Stallion addressed "haters:" "Being a hot girl, in general, is just not f***n' easy," she told the crowd. "I really appreciate y'all. So today I just wanna say, f**k all my haters.”
“None of that s**t you was doing or saying broke me. None of that s**t y'all was doing or saying to the hotties broke them. I want all the hotties to put they muthafu*kin' middle finger up, right now."
