Steph Curry and Michael Jordan Have Even More in Common

The young star is gaining on the legend.

Move over, Michael... you have company.

Stephen Curry dropped 37 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a road victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night for their 72nd win of the season, tying them with Michael Jordan's 1995-96 Chicago Bulls for the most wins in a single NBA season.

Now all that's left for Steph and the Warriors to push MJ and the Bulls out of the way is to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies at Oracle Arena in Oakland on Wednesday night for their record-setting 73rd victory.

The Warriors have already received blessings to go get the record from Jordan — not to mention Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who was also a member of the 1995-96 Bulls' squad.

But Steph isn't taking anything for granted, making sure to grab his piece of NBA history.

"It's in my locker," the reigning MVP, and frontrunner to win the award again this year, told ESPN of Sunday night's game ball. "One thing I learned from last year, the championship, is don't throw the ball when something good happens. Andre [Iguodala] took it from me last year, so I kept this one."

All eyes will be locked onto Steph and the Warriors on Wednesday night.
