Though it may seem that Banks is doing everything in her power to troll for press attention, that’s actually not the case. Furthermore, she can’t control the coverage, so the Harlem rapper wants certain publications to stop honing in on her life.
Yes, Banks has social media spats that probably didn’t show her in the best light, but she’s also had moments of sincere emotion. The inconsistencies make her no different than anyone else on social media, yet her status is what keeps her under a microscope.
Perhaps being a truly resilient artist means accepting that not everyone will agree with your music or opinions, and suppressing the urge to rant about it on social media.
