Denver Broncos Introduce New Team President Damani Leech
On Monday (August 29), the Denver Broncos announced Damani Leech as their new team president.
According to KDVR, Leech, who spent the last three seasons as chief operating officer of NFL International, will take over the team just ahead of Denver’s season opener against the Seattle Seahawks.
Leech will participate in business operations dealing with Empower Field at Mile High and the UCHealth Training Center. Former team President and CEO Joe Ellis announced he would step aside from his role, serving as an advisor to the team after 27 years in the organization.
“When we began this comprehensive search, our goal was to identify a forward-thinking, innovative leader for the Broncos,” Broncos CEO Greg Penner said during the introductory press conference, according to the Denver Post. “We wanted to find someone who could steer our business operations with innovation and integrity, working collaboratively across the organization.”
Leech’s new position is just one of several leadership roles newly hired by the Broncos. The team is entering the 2022 season with new owners, a new general manager, new coach, and a new quarterback.
