R. Kelly’s Girlfriend Joycelyn Savage Writes Tell-All Book
Joycelyn Savage, R.Kelly’s longtime girlfriend, is reportedly set to release a tell-all book about her relationship with the disgraced R&B artist.
According to the New York Post, the 26-year-old confirmed that the book will be titled Love and Joy of Robert, with the intent to publish on Saturday (Aug. 13). Savage did not share when it will be available for purchase or if the book would be self-published or through an established publishing house.
“All I can say is that it is about Robert, the beginning of my life in Robert’s shadow, where things began to take off, and where they are currently going,” Savage said, describing the book.
While it’s unclear if the couple is engaged, Savage shared that “everything will be answered” in the tell-all.
In other R. Kelly news, the money in his prison-inmate account has been seized.
BET.com previously reported that because the 55-year-old did not pay $140,000 in court-ordered fines, prosecutors asked a federal court to seize over $28,000. An August 4 letter stated, “that the defendant had accumulated substantial funds in his inmate trust account.” The Bureau of Prisons put a freeze on the money and now he reportedly only has $500 in his account.
In June, the disgraced R&B star was sentenced in New York to 30 years in prison for racketeering and sex trafficking. He is currently being held in a federal jail in Chicago, Il., on child pornography and obstruction-of-justice charges. Jury selection is scheduled to begin on August 15.
