You first saw her appear on screen briefly, like a mystical figure in the night. Then, she got into her groove and gave us a little twerking action. And now as the final day of Lollapalooza has come to a close, Malia Obama shows us that she can be the president’s daughter and get her life at the same time. 

An attendee of the festival captured Malia having fun at a show. It’s good to see Malia take ownership of her public status and be unapologetic in showing the world, yes she is a normal teen who likes to dance with her friends. 

Although some took issue with her choice to skip out on the DNC for the festival, it's clear that haters are going to hate, no matter what the situation is.

The children of presidents have a tough job of upholding a strong national image, but that doesn't mean they have to stop being teenagers.

Let's not forget the daughters of George W. Bush had no hesitation in continuing to live their lives (despite the legality of the sitatution).
