Kelly Rowland Won't Miss Birth of Beyoncé's Baby

The singer has plenty to keep her busy as she searches for Mr. Right.

Kelly Rowland is so excited about Beyoncé's baby (she did inadvertently reveal the baby's gender during an interview earlier this month) that she's determined to be present when the baby is born next year.
"My best friend had a baby and I wasn't there to see the baby born," she tells the Daily Mail. "That kind of stuff. I get choked up even now talking about it because I wasn't there. So now it's important to me to share those moments with my friends and with my family. I wouldn't miss the birth of Beyoncé's baby. I can't. I don't want to miss those moments."
"It’s life happening to people that I love and I want to be a part of it. I watched my best friend's baby being born on Skype. I was thinking, 'Oh my God. When am I going to get married?'"
It's nice to see that Rowland's own missteps in her past haven't made her bitter about celebrating her friend's recent successes when it comes to love and marriage. Six years ago, her engagement to former football player Roy Williams fell apart the same week she appeared in a wedding dress on the cover of a magazine. His reason: they didn't know each other well enough to get married.
"I wanted that wedding. I wanted to be married. I wanted to have kids," she says. "That was all a part of growing up. I just think it’s important to trust your gut. I did a lot of soul-searching afterwards, and I want to be married, so dating is part of that process."
While she still searches for Mr. Right, Rowland has plenty of good things to keep her busy in the U.K. including her role as a judge on the British X Factor and being named as the latest celebrity spokesperson for the Make Mine Milk campaign. The latter will have the singer rocking her milk mustache for several publications and media spots throughout the U.K.
"I really believe that looking after your body makes you feel good on the inside and happy on the outside," Rowland says. "When I'm feeling fit, I also feel confident and comfortable in my own skin."
And it looks like she's making the necessary changes to stay healthy as she adjusts to her new life in London.
"I like to eat healthily and milk is an important part of that," she adds "I have muesli with semi-skimmed milk when I wake up in the morning. Now that I am spending this winter in London, I love to pick up a latte on my way home from the studio when it's cold outside."
