LeBron James has officially settled in to Los Angeles, and one of his first plans of business is to get the heavily rumored Space Jam sequel in production, and he's tapped famed Black Panther director Ryan Coogler to lead the way.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, in addition to snagging Coogler to produce the film, James has also recruited Terence Nance, the creator of HBO's hit series Random Acts of Flyness, to direct.

SpringHill Entertainment teased the big news by tweeting out an image on Wednesday afternoon featuring a locker room with stalls for James, Coogler, Bugs Bunny and Nance.

THR reports that James tapped Coogler to fill the producer's chair as he "loved his vision" for the film.

The highly speculated sequel, which will see James star in the leading role that was originally filled by Michael Jordan, has been rumored for years. This report, however, is as close — and as concrete — to a confirmation that fans have gotten to date.

Production for the film is slated to begin in 2019 during the NBA off-season.
