The Golden Globes weren't the most interesting show this year — until Oprah Winfrey took the stage. The icon accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award, the first Black woman to receive this honor.
This is the speech America needed. Oprah was passionate, informative, inspiriting and presidential. She honored Sidney Poitier, Recy Taylor (a civil rights leader who passed away at 97) and all of the women who spoke out against sexual assault. Watch the amazing speech below:
