Tamron Hall And Al Roker Live Their Best Life As The Blackface Enthusiast Who Replaced Them Is Axed
While former Fox News host Megyn Kelly is getting ready to pack up her NBC office in a cardboard box, the dynamic duo, whom she replaced in NBC's "Today" show, are living their best life.
When it was announced Kelly would be making the move to NBC’s 9 a.m. slot, Tamron Hall announced she would be leaving the network.
In early 2017, Hall walked away from a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract when she got word that NBC planned to offer Kelly the show's 9 a.m. slot. Now, it looks like NBC’s investment didn’t pay off, as Kelly’s show was canceled after she made offensive remarks about wearing blackface on Halloween.
Although Kelly is in the middle of controversy, Hall and Roker were nothing but smiles on Thursday night when the two reunited backstage of the Broadway musical Waitress, in which Roker currently performs.
"Smiling ear to ear tonight after seeing Al Roker light up the stage in 'Waitress!" Hall wrote on Instagram. "What a show and yes Mr. Roker sings!!!!! True icon. Blessed to know you sir."
Until she left the network, Hall, along with Roker, co-hosted Today's Take. Roker remains with NBC as an occasional co-anchor on Nightly News and the daily weather anchor on Today.
Hall is developing a daytime talk show at ABC.
