Quincy Jones Recovering After Food Triggered Medical Emergency

The legendary musician is in “great spirits.”

Legendary music producer Quincy Jones has been released from the hospital experiencing an adverse reaction to something he ate over the weekend.

According to TMZ, the 90-year-old veteran industry figure is in “great spirits” after being cleared by doctors following the Saturday afternoon health emergency.

Per the outlet, the “Soul Bossa Nova” musician was rushed to an Los Angeles hospital Saturday afternoon, (June 17) after having an allergic reaction to something he had. Paramedic responded to a call from his L.A. home and later transported the entertainer to the emergency room.

In 2018, Jones revealed in his self-titled biography Quincy,  that he suffered two brain aneurysms during his lifetime. In a facebook post he noted  “it felt like a shotgun was fired inside of my head. While operating for 7.5 hours, my doctors discovered a second aneurysm that was ready to blow, so they had to schedule a second operation.”
