Chad Johnson Addresses Split from Fiancée Sharelle Rasado
Chad Johnson recently addressed the complexities surrounding his breakup with fiancée Sharelle Rasado.
The “Selling Tampa” star took to her Twitter account to announce that they were “no longer together” and requested fans to stop “tagging” them in photos.
At the time, Chad reposted Rasado’s statement online with a GIF from “Arrested Development” showing the character George Michael walking with his head hanging low. However, during a recent episode of his “Nightcap” podcast, the former NFL star told co-host Shannon Sharpe, “I’m just saying, I’m blocked. I don’t know what to do.”
He acknowledged the challenges of navigating a public breakup, adding, “If you live it publicly, you break up publicly? It’s okay. I can deal with that, though. The stove is hot, boy. I won’t touch it.”
Chad also shared that Rasado hadn’t explicitly asked him not to reach out, but he still felt the weight of the situation.
Sharpe advised Johnson to step back and allow Rasado the space she needed. He encouraged his friend to be patient and ready for a conversation when she is comfortable.
Chad and Sharelle went Instagram official in November 2020. They got engaged in early 2023 after welcoming a 2-year-old daughter, Serenity, in January 2022.
