Chance the Rapper Covers Arthur Theme Song With Wyclef Jean, Elle Varner
Chance the Rapper proves that everyone can have a wonderful day if people just work together.
The Chi-town native enlisted a gang of artists to assist the Social Experiment for the release of a mastered version of a cover of the theme song to the children's cartoon show Arthur.
Chance's diverse group of recruits includes Wyclef Jean, Jessie Ware, Elle Varner, Francis and the Lights, Eryn Allen Kane, and the O’my’s, as well as vocal assists from a couple of the Social Experiment band members Peter Cottontale and Donnie Trumpet for a contemporary version of the song "Wonderful Everyday: Arthur." The cover was originally titled "Believe in Yourself" and recorded by Ziggy Marley.
This is not the first time Chance has had people singing, "Every day it could be wonderful." He recently performed the '90s song at the Governors Ball in New York City in June.
The uplifting track could serve as part of Chance's #SaveChicago initiative.
