There Is Now a Petition to Ban Rich Homie Quan From Hip-Hop
Even though it’s been a rough week for Rich Homie Quan, the hip-hop community may need some more time to get over the fact the rapper messed up an iconic Biggie song during a tribute at Monday’s VH1 Hip-Hop Honors.
Quan, who has since apologized for flubbing the lyrics, is currently the target of a new petition that has surfaced calling for the rapper to be “banned from Hip-Hop” as part of the repercussions for his lackluster performance.
“On behalf of every B.I.G. fan across the world, I declare rapper Rich Homie Quan banned from Hip-Hop until he releases a video of him correctly reciting every Biggie line in ‘Juicy’ and ‘Get Money,’ the petition on Change.org reads. “We will not purchase his music or acknowledge any of his excuses for disrespecting Frank White at VH1's #HipHopHonors 2016.”
While the petition against Quan is a little harsh, it has garnered the signatures of several hundred people since its creation.
Hopefully the rapper will be able to recover from his unfortunate mishap over this weekend and take his mind off of the brutal backlash he’s been receiving nonstop this week. At this point, we feel a little bad for him.
