No matter the record sales and accolades, Chris Brown still sees himself as prey. Brown covers the October issue of JET magazine and opens up about his beef with the media, Jay Z, relating to Trayvon Martin and more.

Brown appears hooded on the cover next to the title "Moving Target," suitable words given the singer's ongoing legal strife brought on by his relationship troubles. Speaking on his tug-of-war with the media, the 24-year-old labeled some press as instigators. "The media is full of yellow journalism," he shared. "A lot of things I say, they will flip it. Instead of them getting off on all the positive stuff that I do, they will bring out the negative and draw out that story."

The "positive stuff" includes his Symphonic Love Foundation, a charity supporting and creating youth art programs.

Still, while Brown does his part to give back, his anger issues and Twitter outbursts often outshine the good, which he's working to change. "You have to go through the struggle before you can get to the good part," Breezy continued. "I don't try to lash out at people, or be as mad or impulsive as I used to be. I got to the point where it's only so much you can take from the master, you feel me? I've taken my fair share of lashings."

One thing he doesn't understand is why Jay Z doesn't get similar treatment. Late last month, the "Fine China" singer tweeted that Hov was stopping him from collaborating with Beyoncé, but his feelings on the Roc Nation honcho aren't music related. "No disrespect, because I'm a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that [Jay] stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass."

Regarding Martin's fatal shooting, the Virginia native can relate to the alleged racial profiling that led to the unarmed teen's death last February. "I identify with Trayvon 100 percent as far as living in 2013 and still dealing with blatant racism," he explained. "This generation is so used to racism that it's normal. We don't care. We aren't on drugs or catching AIDS, but they still look sat us as n----s."

Also in the interview, Brown talks about his relationships with Rihanna and Karrueche Tran and whether or not he would rather be single.
