Isaiah Rashad Sends Encouraging Words to Those Struggling With Depression
Everyone from the music world, including fans, have been reacting to Kid Cudi’s recent admission of depression. Almost everyone has offered their empathy and support, and perhaps one of the best takes on it was made by Isaiah Rashad.
Last night (October 9) the TDE rapper let off a series of tweets reminding everyone of his own public admission of anxiety. He also reference’s Lil Wayne’s verse on Solange’s track “Mad” from A Seat at the Table. During his verse, Wayne raps about his fight with loneliness and attempts at suicide.
“Listening to this solange album.. this dude Wayne just rapped my wholeeeeee past 3 yrs,” Rashad tweeted. He then followed up by explaining how important it is to give people their flowers while they’re here and making sure to tell your loved ones and friends how much you care about them.
“Everybody's somebody's everything. nobody's nothing,” he tweeted. “I tend to forget that.” He preceded that with perhaps the best advice one can give about handling depression.
“Don't go through the problems in your head alone,” he wrote. “There's nothing wrong with asking for help. The worst thing to do is think ur alone in it.”
