'Tyler Perry’s Sistas': Andi Realizes That Penelope May Be Unstable
Last week’s “Tyler Perry’s Sistas” episode ended in chaos. Penelope smacked fire out of Andi when she and Jordan went to Andi’s apartment to confront her. So, we start this episode from that moment. Jordan gets between them and tries to keep the peace, but everything has gone straight to hell. The short of it is Penelope and Jordan feel double-crossed. Penelope, especially, feels like Andi set them up, and they want answers from her. If you recall, Penelope is supposed to still be in protective custody, but she left to ask Andi all her burning questions. We also find out that Jordan dropped out of the race for city council due to the string of bad press, most recently being questioned about stabbing Gary. His relationship with Andi has been a liability, and Andi’s silence is frustrating. Andi is in a tight spot but realizes she should just tell the truth.
She finally reveals that Gary was blackmailing her but leaves out the details about Gary having compromising photos of Jordan, too. Unsurprisingly, Penelope doesn’t believe it. Penelope isn’t smart, either. I mean, everyone knows Gary is evil, so why is it hard to believe that he’d blackmail Andi?
But alas, Jordan is skeptical, too. Understandably, Andi’s shady behavior in trying to protect them hasn’t helped. Things get real spicy when Penelope threatens payback. She says that Andi and Gary are going to get what they deserve. Penelope sounds deranged and is starting to make a good case for herself as the one who probably stabbed Gary.
Andi manages to get Jordan alone so that she can attempt to reason with him. She does a terrible job of convincing Jordan that she's for real. Jordan makes it clear that he does not trust her.
In other news, Sabrina, Rich, Tony, and Danni end up on an impromptu double lunch date. It started with Sabrina and Danni just trying to catch up, but then the fellas happened to stumble across them, so they joined them. It could have been a better lunch. It devolved into bickering and convos about the dysfunction in their respective relationships. They all have trust issues, but the fellas especially feel like Sabrina and Danni don’t prioritize them.
Let’s visit Karen’s and Pam’s Roots to Riches drama. That continues, too. Remember, we last saw them swarmed by some women protesting at the salon, claiming their hair fell out. This week, they’re joined by Marie Willis, who stopped by to check on them. She is now demanding answers and wants to get to the bottom of things because the ringleader of the protest wants $400,000. However, Karen gets a close-up of the ring leader’s edges and discovers she shaved her hair.
Issa scam! Remember, Marie became an investor in Roots to Riches because she tried the product herself, and it worked on her hair so well that she just threw money at Pam. We already know that Marie doesn’t play that role, so she threatens to get her team together to expose the scammer and sue her for defamation. That’s all it took for the scamming woman to admit she was lying and scurry away with her girls, who were trying to get over. Crisis averted, but Marie delivers lessons in business to Pam and Karen, which is that they better toughen up because things like this can happen from time to time. She also demands a business plan, and she plans to have a quality assurance team look at the ingredients in the product to ensure it is safe. You’d think a billionaire would do that before investing, but whatever.
Finally, the episode ends with Fatima telling Robin about Hayden’s misdeeds and harassment. Robin tells her that he will look into it, but until he can get real intel, Fatima still has to play nice with him. But then he also reveals that he has photos of her from the time she confronted Gary, and his security detail knocked her to the ground. That gives Robin a strong reason not to rule her out as a suspect in Gary’s stabbing. But hold that thought until next week.
