Mo'ne Davis Gets Drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters
When Mo'ne Davis was capturing the heart of the country by becoming the first girl to throw a shutout in the Little League World Series last summer, she maintained that basketball was her first love.
Well, that love only grew Tuesday, when the legendary Harlem Globetrotters selected Davis as part of their 2015 draft, as reported by TMZ Sports. With the selection, Davis has an open invite to play with the iconic hoops squad.
Although Davis, who turns 14 on Wednesday, was "thrilled," she will not be able to join the squad just yet because she's about to start high school. Still, the invitation remains open.
"She fits the Globetrotter DNA," Globetrotters Sr. V.P. of Communications Brett Meister told TMZ. "Great athlete, entertainer and personality."
Kevin Hart knows how she gets down on the court, as the teen sensation memorably spun and scored on the comedian during the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game back in February.
