After much backlash directed toward the French Open for banning that catsuit worn by Serena Williams, the tennis star proved it doesn't matter what she wears, she'll always dominate. 

During the French Open, Williams wore a “Black Panther”-inspired body suit, which was designed to prevent blood clots. When Williams gave birth to her daughter, she suffered a pulmonary embolism. The Nike body suit was designed to prevent further injuries.

However, Bernard Giudicelli, the president of the French Tennis Federation, didn't see it that way. After William's appearance at the French Open, he announced they are no longer allowing catsuits similar to the one worn by Serena. 

Of course there was much backlash, and some found the call to be racist; however, Williams shrugged it off and when it came time for the U.S. Open, she flipped the script on everyone and dominated in a tutu. 

Many people admired how Williams did not let the decision of the French Open deter her from rocking a new outfit and the competition. At the start of the U.S. Open on Monday, the tennis star sported a custom black tutu designed by Louis Vuitton designer Virgil Abloh and Nike. Then, on Wednesday, she wore similar outfit, only in lavender. 

In the third round of the U.S. Open, Serena will face her sister Venus Williams. 

“Unfortunately and fortunately we have to play each other,” Serena told the New York Times. “We make each other better. We bring out the best when we play each other. It’s what we do. So, I think we’re used to it now.”

Typically, the sisters would not have to face each other this early; however, Serena was placed as the 17th seed after missing about year of playing time because of the birth of her daughter, while Venus is seeded 16th. 

The two are set to play on Friday.
