Now that The Game’s sexual assault lawsuit has officially been settled, as well as the rumors that came along with it, Priscilla Rainey has a few things to say.

A judge ruled in favor of Rainey and her claims, in which she alleged that during the taping of Game’s She’s Got Game reality show, she was sexually assaulted by the Compton rapper. Pressing charges back in August 2015, she detailed the incident, which she claimed the assault happened during a one-on-one date with Game when the cameras were turned off. According to TMZ, The Game coughed up $7.13 million after the judge’s ruling in an Illinois court.

Though the “All Eyez” rapper publicly addressed the weight of Rainey’s claims through social media early on, Rainey had since remained silent as the legal proceedings were underway. While most fans suspected that her accusation was nothing more than a get-rich-quick ploy from the rapper, she holds a different perspective. In an exclusive interview with The Jasmine Brand, Rainey said her decision to file the lawsuit was solely about justice and never about money.

“This case was never about money. This was always about standing up for not only my rights, but also the rights of women who have been similarly victimized,” the site reports. “My life has been impacted tremendously by relentless negativity, solely because I chose not to remain silent. I am hopeful that this result can empower other women to also come forward and stand up for themselves.”

A member of her legal representation, Brad Edwards, added that the situation was “complicated” because of social media’s relentless rumor-saturated grapevine.

“Ten citizens of Illinois reviewed all of the evidence to unanimously arrive at the result they determined was fair and just,” Edwards said. “Priscilla Rainey just wanted her life back and hopefully this is a step in that direction.”

TMZ reports that despite the decision, reports have surfaced that Game will appeal the court’s ruling.
