Tracee Ellis Ross Wants to Act With Brother Evan Ross
She played sexy single Joan Clayton for nine seasons on the hit sitcom Girlfriends, and she can now be seen weekly as wife and mom Carla Reed on BET’s new original scripted comedy Reed Between the Lines. However, Tracee Ellis Ross says she’d also love to do a film role that would allow her to keep all the acting in her real life family.
“I would love to work with my brother Evan [Ross] again,” the actress who co-starred along with her younger sibling Queen Latifah's Life Support, told BET.com. “I would actually like to do some kind of Bonnie and Clyde thing with him. I want to play his crime partner, I don’t know why.”
Although the sibling duo, who also portrayed brother and sister in Life Support, never shared a scene together in the film, Ross described the work experience as “intense, great and so much fun.” And she remains the biggest fan and supporter of her brother’s dramatic talent.
“My brother is a beautiful actor,” says Ross." He has a vulnerability on screen that’s just stunning.”
Reed Between the Lines airs Tuesday at 10pm/9c on BET.
