New Song From Chris Brown and Rihanna Leaks
Chris Brown and Rihanna took us back to happier times on Sunday, when a duet recorded years ago turned up online.
“Put It Up,” a five minute ballad on which the former couple make all sorts of personal confessions, was intended to be featured on Breezy’s 2014 album X, but was not included in the final release after Rihanna reportedly demanded it be shelved.
“Baby ain’t no need to be scared of me, I guarantee that I’m not a mistake,” Rihanna sings in the track’s opening. “I’ma give you all of my love and I hope that you won’t misplace it./You created this s**t, going insane with all this fear./ Can’t turn my back on it, I’m in love.” Brown replies, “I’ma write my name with my tongue on your back, baby.”
Brown spoke about the collabo back in the day, promising the track would show a new side of pop's most famous bad girl. "At the end of the day, that’s what they expect from us, so I wanted to do more of a record that nobody really heard her sing on as far as that genre,” he said.
The former lovers have previously collaborated on the tracks "Birthday Cake" and "Nobody's Business."
