WATCH: This Girl Accidentally Charged $733 To Her Mom's Card At Sephora And Lived To Talk About It
Alex Dello is social media’s new favorite teenager. Honestly, we’ve all waited for a parent’s whooping at least once in our lives.
The 15-year-old Pittsburgh native hit up Twitter and posted a video of herself admitting that she accidentally charged her mom’s credit card $733 while trying to make an apparently huge purchase at Sephora. She also explained how she was trying to see how much was on an old gift card. Apparently, that’s when it charged her momma’s already saved account. Oops.
The tweet/video has over 30,000 retweets and 48,000 likes. Dello told Buzzfeed she wasn’t able to cancel the purchase because she didn’t have the credit card on hand and wasn’t the main cardholder. Her mother, Marcia Dello-Stritto also spoke with the website and gave her side of the story.
“I panicked and at first she did not include the total, knowing her and her love of makeup,” she explained. “I knew it had to have been a lot for her to be texting me.” Luckily for Alex, her mom let her keep the makeup and made it her Christmas gift. Must be nice.
Twitter, of course, reacted to everything that went down. Check out Alex Dello’s Sephora saga and the best reactions to it below.
