Damon Dash Sues Ex-Wife Rachel Roy
Damon Dash recently lost custody of his daughters to his ex-wife Rachel Roy. Now he is firing back, suing her for $2.5 million, claiming that she has interfered with his earnings.
According to TMZ, the Roc-a-Fella Records co-founder is specifically suing Roy for a number of corporate crimes tied to two fashion companies that they started together back in 2009: Royale Etenia LLC and Topson Downs. Since then, sales for Roy's line have skyrocketed, with her clothing being sold by major retailers and worn by several high profile celebritities, including First Lady Michelle Obama and Tyra Banks.
The court documents state that Dash is firmly accusing his ex-wife of breach of contract and tampering with cash distributions that he has earned, resulting in him not receiving any money from the businesses.
Dash filed the summons in New York Supreme Court on Thursday (April 23), just days after the custody debacle which also saw Roy file a restraining order against him.
