Twitter Drags Terry McMillan for Giving Halle Berry Marriage Advice

The best-selling author isn't really one to talk.

Halle Berry's love life is as dramatic as one of Terry McMillan's novels, so it's no surprise the best-selling author had something to say about the Oscar-winner's recent announcement that she's getting divorced again.
McMillan tweeted on Tuesday that "Halle Berry should give up on marriage," after two failed attempts and several relationships that went south:

Well, Twitter didn't take too kindly to McMillan's criticism of the A-list actress, pointing out that the Waiting to Exhale author isn't really one to talk about failed marriages. Back in 2005, McMillan herself was involved in an ugly divorce from her husband Jonathan Plummer. Their relationship was the inspiration behind her hit novel How Stella Got Her Groove Back, but after seven years of marriage the couple split when Plummer came out as gay. So yeah, she should probably realize that things sometimes don't work out the way we think they will.

Well, Terry couldn't help but clap back at the shade thrown in her direction:

What is it they say about people in glass houses? Anyway, at this point Terry should be used to Twitter backlash over her opinions. As for Halle, we're sure she'll bounce back from this and live to love again. Watch our interview with the accomplished actress, talking about love, motherhood and being Black in Hollywood, below:
