Faith Evans May Be Joining a Hologram Version of Biggie on Tour

Their duet album is also just about finished.

Fans of Notorious B.I.G. may have mixed feelings about seeing a posthumous hologram performance, but that’s just the world we live in these days, especially since 2012 laid the groundwork with an appearance from a Tupac hologram at Coachella.

During an interview on The Dame Dash Show, Faith Evans updated fans on the status of her duet album with B.I.G., saying that it's “kind of in the finishing stages.”

The project, titled The King & I, has been a long time in the making since Evans announced its existence about a year-and-a-half ago.

“That’s something I’ve been thinking and talking about doing with Ms. Wallace for a long time,” she said during the interview. “But the way the stuff is coming together and the way I’m using his vocals, it’s just giving stuff new life. It’s totally different. I think people are gonna like it.”

A tour may also possibly be in the works in conjunction with a Bad Boy reunion tour that Diddy revealed he was planning on kicking off of May 21 (Biggie’s birthday).

“We actually are in development with a hologram [company], but I don’t necessarily know to what extent I’m gonna perform with it,” Evans continued. “But I want to debut it in the first video for the album, and maybe use it a little bit performing live. But that depends on a lot of things … It’s expensive, as you can imagine.”
