Surprise!: NeNe Leakes Had The Sweetest Response To Her Son Throwing Her A Star-Studded Birthday Party
On Monday, NeNe Leakes celebrated her 54th birthday. Later in the week, she celebrated her life amongst family and friends.
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star posted a photo dump on Instagram expressing that she wanted a more lowkey birthday this year. However, her family—more specifically her son—Brentt Leakes had other plans. “This year I didn’t want to celebrate my birthday in a big way! I just wanted to chill with a few loved ones, but my fam would not let it be that way,” said Leakes.
The 22-year-old planned a star-studded surprise party for his mother, with attendees that included her former co-star and friend Porsha Williams and singer KeKe Wyatt. Leakes noted that this was her son’s first attempt at throwing her a party, and she was very pleased.
At the party, Leakes wore a merlot-colored velour track suit with lace detailing as she posed beside her cream and gold accented cake that was topped with sparklers. In her Instagram post, the TV personality shared a host of pictures with loved ones. She also shared various photos with Williams in a separate post, noting that the duo hadn’t “played in these streets in a while”.
Additionally, Leakes thanked her family and friends for “loving her and make sure she is good during this time.”
We’re sad to report that in September, Leakes’ husband Greg Leakes passed away after a battle with colon cancer.
