Well hello, lady in red!

“Insecure” star and Emmy presenter, Issa Rae stepped out tonight in a fierce custom Vera Wang gown. She told E! News her makeup artist, Joanna Simkin, helped her secure the hook-up with the other #WangGang—ladies, get you a girl who can do both.

Her figure-flattering gown skipped out on the dramatic cleavage and focused on her super sculpted back. Go ‘head girlfriend!

We have to admit, like Issa we’re hella confused that “Insecure” wasn’t nominated this year. She opened up to Vanity Fair about the snub, especially after her fans went ham about it on Twitter.

“It would have been amazing to get an Emmy nomination . . . but that just motivates me more,” Issa said. “We’re gonna get on the radar.”

But, we predict “Insecure” will 100% make the cut next year. Plus, she’s still a winner in our book. Issa recently scored a coveted CoverGirl contract joining the ranks of Queen Latifah, Brandy, and Janelle Monae.
