$1000 Regret: Lil' Rel Dishes On The Major Mistake He Made At Beyoncé And Jay-Z's Party
Lil' Rel received his very first invitation to the Academy Awards, earlier this year, and while he was honored to be in the building, he claimed the experience was just "meh."
However, he followed-up that the real turn up came when he attended Beyoncé and Jay-Z's star-studded after party. In fact, while there, the overwhelmingly luxe atmosphere led to him making a mistake that he's since majorly regretted.
During an interview on The Late Late Show With James Corden, the Get Out star shared, "I forgot I went to the Oscars," while explaining the magnitude of Jay and Bey's party.
"It was surreal," he said. "I was talking to Leonardo DiCaprio, and me and Drake had a toast. Me and Angela Bassett danced a lot. It was just kind of like, 'Should I be here?'"
In addition to the people-mingling, Rel shared that the couple gave each guest gambling chips worth $1000 which they could cash out at a "bank" provided inside the casino-themed party. However, he made one decision that he went on to regret, the next day.
"I remember Jay was like, 'Yo, the bank's right over there if you want to cash out,'" he said. "I'm like, 'I'ma keep this as a memory.' And then I woke up the next morning like, 'Wait a minute, this was $1000?' I could've had $1000 easily."
