Celebrities Pay Tribute To Joe Jackson On Social Media
Joseph "Joe" Jackson, leader of Jackson family, passed away from complications to terminal cancer on Wednesday (June 27) at the age of 89. Once news of his death went viral, family members, friends and longtime fans took to social media paying homage to his memory.
Jackson's children and grandchildren were among the first tributes to hit the web.
La Toya Jackson kicked off the tributes sharing video footage from her reality series Life with La Toya. "I will always love you! You gave us strength, you made us one of the most famous families in the world. I am extremely appreciative of that, I will never forget our moments together and how you told me how much you cared," she wrote.
Jackson's grandson Taj paid homage to his late grandfather while silencing critics of his parenting skills. "Please don't just regurgitate what you were spoon fed by the press. Joe was loved by our ENTIRE family and our hearts are in pain," he wrote on Twitter.
Prince Jackson, son of Joe's late son Michael Jackson, took to IG sharing a candid moment with his grandfather and referred to him by his family nickname. "There is and never will be someone like you. Fly free and until we meet again The Hawk."
Other celebs like Jesse Jackson, Paula Abdul and Eddie Griffin also shared kind words on social media.
