Future recently celebrated the upcoming birth of his newest baby with his latest baby's mother, Joie Chavis, and as his plus-one to the event, he brought his current lady — and baby's mother — Brittni Mealy.

After social media learned of this, several trolls took to Twitter and Instagram to label Mealy less than smart for allowing herself to be the rapper's latest child-bearer and for what many deem as her "being played." Tired of the attacks, she took to Instagram, herself, to fire back.

For months now, rumors had been circulating that Future, indeed, conceived a child with Chavis, who infamously also shares a child with Bow Wow. Only recently was the news confirmed through the former couple that the allegations are true.

In response to the trolls who criticized her for supporting her current man at his baby shower with his pregnant ex, Mealy took to Instagram to share a few words.

"People do what they have to do to protect their assets it's too much money at risk," she wrote on her Instagram Story.

While her explanation sparks more questions than answers, it's safe to say that only more criticisms followed as a result of her words.
